Symbols are a serious business

Suma, an engineering student from Bangalore often fell sick. On consulting the doctor she was told that it was the water that caused her sickness. She brought a new water purifier and made sure that she drank only the water from the purifier. But to her surprise ,she still fell sick. After, a thorough investigation on the matter it was concluded that it was not the water but the bottle that she used to carry the water in it was the culprit. She used a plastic mineral water bottle, which she had brought six months ago.
This in fact is a very common story, because there is a Suma in all of us in this regard. We feel it is totally okay to reuse a plastic bottle. We are cautious when it comes to the expiry date and the price but we intentionally ignore the instructions given on the bottle in the form of symbols.
Symbols which belong to non-verbal communication family speaks more than words and actions. These symbols especially on plastic bottles instructs a lot that always overlooked by us. Know them to avoid diseases.

Bisleri is the brand of bottled water , who pioneered the  idea of selling bottled water in India and the suit was followed by other companies selling water, beverages and other liquid accessories in plastic bottles as they are budget friendly.  To know more about plastic , there is a number or recycling symbol shown at the bottom of plastic bottles

.
Avoid recycling symbols 1,3,6 and 7 . Look for 2,4,5 as these plastics are considered to be the safest,
which may cause less damages to the health comparatively.
Filling out water in plastic bottles or exposing the filled water bottle to sunlight cause  some chemical reactions and that may lead to cancer and other diseases .It is extremely difficult to stop the usage of plastic as it has become an important organ of our modern society, but we can certainly limit the usage of the product . Instead of buying low grade plastic bottles or plastic containers , buy food plastic which is much better or choose glass and  other metal bottles or containers as the metal containers have a positive reaction with water( especially copper).
So, be careful when you drink. Say no to reuse of cheap graded plastic and say yes to a healthy lifestyle.. stay healthy ..stay plastic free..
